Custom software
Built when nothing off the shelf fits the way you already work. The test is whether you would otherwise be bending the business around a tool.
The seam this closes
Between a process that is genuinely yours and a product that assumes everybody does it the same way.
What gets built
- Web applications, and desktop where the work is not in a browser
- Integrations with the systems you already run
- A schema someone else can read, and tests that document intent
- Handover with the code, the deployment and the reasoning
What this is not
We leave working software alone. Custom software is the most expensive answer and it should be the last one considered.
Start with the seam that is costing you the most.
A first call is a scoping conversation. If there is no system worth building, we will say so.
